AOL users (We do not recommend using AOL's browser. Use AOL to connect to Internet service, but use IE or Netscape once connected.)


Internet Explorer 5.0/5.5 Users (Windows)

To enable JavaScript, follow these steps:

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu. The Internet Options dialog opens.
  2. Locate the Temporary Internet Files section of the General tab.
  3. Click on Settings.
  4. Locate the Check for newer versions of stored pages area, make certain that the radio dial is highlighted on Every visit to the page.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Locate the Custom area of the Security tab. Click Custom Level button. Security Settings dialog opens.
  7. Scroll down to the Scripting section of the Security Settings window.
    To access this site, your browser must support JavaScript and Java. You must select the Enable radio button under Active Scripting.
  8. Click OK to close the Security Settings dialog.
  9. Locate the Content Advisor area of the Content tab.
  10. The radio button should read Enable. (If not, click on Disable until it reads Enable)
  11. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog.
  12. Hit the F5 key to refresh your browser.

Note: Windows XP Users, you will need to restart your computer for the changes to take place

Internet Explorer 6.0 users (Windows)

To enable JavaScript, follow these steps:

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu. The Internet Options dialog opens.

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu. The Internet Options dialog opens.
  2. Select the Receiveing Files link on the left.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Locate the Web Browser link of the left .
  5. Select Web Content.
  6. Under the Active Content area, select Enable Scripting.
  7. Click OK.

Netscape Communicator 6.0/7.1 (Windows or MAC)

To enable JavaScript, follow these steps:

These instructions will allow Netscape users to view, and utilize all pages on this site.

  1. Click Edit in the browser tool bar.
  2. Then, click Preferences.
  3. In the Preferences section, you will see several items in the Category window.
  4. Click Privacy and Security and then Cookies.
  5. Click Advanced and then click Cache.
  6. Click Clear Memory Cache and Clear Disk Cache.
  7. Below the Clear Disk Cache button, make sure that the: Compare the page in the cache to the page on the network, is highlighted on, Every time I view the page.
  8. Click on Proxies in the category window. Make certain that the proxies are set to Direct connection to the internet.

AOL users

Enabling JavaScript:

  1. Open your browser. From the menu bar, select My AOL and choose Preferences.
  2. Click on the WWW icon. In the Internet Zone section, if any setting other than Custom is selected, JavaScript is already enabled already. If Custom is selected, you must make sure that JavaScript is enabled.
  3. Click on the Settings button.
  4. In the Security Settings section, scroll down to the Scripting section, and under Active scripting, select either Prompt (which will present you with a dialog box every time active scripting is encountered) or Enable (which will fully enable active scripting without user interaction).
  5. Click OK to close the Security Settings window, click Yes in the resulting warning box if changes were made, and then click OK to save all changes.
  6. Close the Internet Options window.
